Nigeria Senate president Dr Bukola Saraki as congratulate Nigerians and people of Bayelsa State over the successful re-run
election in the state on Saturday 9th January, 2016 which the incumbent Governor Seriake Dickson won defeating the former Governor of the State Tim Silva.

       Though the election have been marred by violence in Ijaw South of Bayelsa State which is one of the 8 local government in Bayelsa State, below is the message of the senate president to all Nigerians.

"The World at large congratulated the entire country for the gains made during the last general elections In particular the way we conducted ourselves during the elections, so we shouldn't allow any group or anyone to take us back"
